TED, an annual not for profit conference around Technology, Entertainment (Education) and Design. It is all about bringing together inspiring thinkers from around the world. It's core objective is to share Ideas worth Spreading. Its commitment has been to seek out amazing, interesting people and “let them communicate what they are passionate about, untainted by corporate influence”. You may know TED via its Youtube speaker videos, which are routinely passed around. There is a lot to learn from the TED format as I've learned by organising TEDx events in Basel. In this article you can find 5 core learnings as written up in an article by Alison Hall.
1) Curate
2) Play with Design
3) Produce it
4) Make it Personal
5) Expand
Read all about it in the "Engage their Brains" Cover story of Meetings Magazine & Incentives here: http://bit.ly/teD56e
Get the full scoop here: http://www.ted.com
Check out some of the unique functions in spreading ideas.
Let me encourage you to checkout the following features and benefits:
